We seem to have lucked out with quite a few of our connections in this whole wedding planning process. Remember my friend Carly (not to be confused with roommate/bridesmaid Carly), who's baking our cupcakes? Well, her mom, Cherie, happens to be in the printing business! (Here is her website.) Of course, we wanted her to do all our paper stuff. It also made the whole consultation thing way less awkward, since I've known her since elementary school. :)
She did a great job on our save the dates, and I can't wait for the invitations!
Obviously, in real life, our last names and website aren't actually blurred out. :) We chose to go with a postcard style, so the other side of the card just had the addresses on it.
I got the cards on Monday night, so we headed to the post office on Tuesday.
The postcard stamps had polar bears on them! Ironically, it was super warm that day...a cruel joke.

During this postage party, we discovered a slight dilemma. Two of our cards had gotten stuck together during printing.
See? This was supposed to be one save the date.
But Cherie was able to quickly iron out that snag, as well as a few more which were my fault. :) Another good thing about a friend-vendor (friendor?): she only lives five minutes away!
A few people have already received their cards, and we're all getting excited! This winter break is turning into a wedding blur. More to come soon...but first, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. :)
